Hello, another post that does not revolve around makeup!
Today will be another life post.
At the moment I am in Brookville, Indiana. A small, town about 40 minutes from my home city of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Brookville, a place where most everyone knows each other, a place where no one looks as I do.
I am not here on vacation; I am here dealing with my significant other's parents.
Now I am a city gal, I do not come from a huge city but a big city, that was huge enough for me growing up.
As an adult, I have dealt with small places but am not afraid to admit, that it's not for me.
Besides all of this, Brookville is a beautiful place. Farm fields, fresh air, quiet streets, and curvy back roads. A town that probably takes 5-10 minutes to drive straight through.
Not a tourist place, well unless you like small towns.
(A pic of my fur-child. She loves all of the open space, almost anywhere).
It's been a nice change, from the hustle of the city. Even though the non-stop grind, is something I like, all I needed is a nice area where I can grab some peace. Well, Brookville is... too quiet, I am also not fond of everyone pretty much knowing each other. Nor am I fond of the low mph in town. But I am not here to complain, believe me.
I am here to share my experience, that's all. Unfortunately, my experience might not be good.
Needless to say, this is not one of the places I choose to get peace (even if I tried, it would not happen).
To be honest, I do not have much to say. I admit that I stepped into this with the thought of having so much to write about, so much to explore. Unfortunately, I have come up with nothing. Nothing but farmlands and a small neighborhood where the only entertainment around are fairs. Not to mention, restaurants, some with questionable names. (I will explain.) It's basically a retirement town.
Again, if someplace like this is for you, you might love it. As for me, unless I am coming to visit. I will not be back here unless I am driving through, truth.
On top of that, I do not like being in a place that has a restaurant called, "Korner's Kountry Kitchen", right on Main Street. Changed to "Korner's" on Google, I wonder why?
Fun fact, there is a "Kountry Korner of Maximo" in Maximo, OH. (But I am not there.)
My black booty wants no parts of none of it, so I will skip.
I am not sure how long my visit/stay will be, hopefully not too long. But I cannot wait until I leave! And go back to my life! And no disrespect to my babes' parents but no....just no.
Could I recommend this place, well no? But again, it's honestly up to you.
Continue to love nature no matter where you are!
With much love,
NOVA
