A REUSABLE BIRTHDAY GIFT

This post is being written a day after my 31st birthday. Do not worry, it's not one of those, "reflection" posts. That's for some other time when I am cool being deep. This post will be about one of the items I happen to get during the birthday madness.

One of my birthday gifts, to myself, is the Magnetic Eyeliner and Double-strength magnetic lashes by KISS. It retails between $9.99 and $15.00. KISS does not test on animals, they are put down as a VEGAN brand, according to PETA. KISS was one of the first brands I ever used, so always exciting to use a brand that I started with.

My experience with eyeliner and lashes is pretty much 50/50. Using eyeliner is a dream. Goes on so smooth and looks great!

The lashes are cute and putting them on is not bad either. Seem to connect to the magnetic eyeliner quickly and sticks. It holds for some time before the lashes start to raise. Unfortunately, they do rise. Even when I have a decent amount of magnetic eyeliner on! Cleaning the lashes as recommended is important, buildup happens very quickly and makes it almost impossible to reuse. Cleaning should start right after to first use, in my opinion. I have mentioned in other posts that I have oily skin, I am not sure if my oily skin is a reason why my lashes will not stay or if I am not adding enough eyeliner but it's been a work in progress. As easy as everything seems to be with this product, there are just a few things that I cannot stand. One is having to deal with raised lashes, multiple times a day. If I'm busy and cannot get to the lashes that I feel leaving my eye, it's a problem for me. Now I'm just complaining.

But I find this to be a serious thing. As I type this, I am wearing them, and today alone I had to reapply the eyeliner, and still, the lashes are "sticking" but had to work to get them to stick.

( It's October 10th BTW. This means I've been working with these lashes and eyeliner since the end of August).

I'm not sure if I will buy these again, because my experience has not been fun. But who knows, anything can happen.

MUCH LOVE, YOUR GAL,

♥NOVA
